Chromatic: Ear Training for Musicians · Last updated: 27 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Chromatic app. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
The app is provided by Manuel Pérez ("we", "us"). Contact: chromaticeartraining@gmail.com
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app or its content, except where that restriction is prohibited by law or permitted by the licence of an included open source component.
The app includes third-party open source software. Those components are licensed to you under their own terms, which prevail over this section for those components. The list is in the app under About → Licenses & credits.
Do not use the app unlawfully, attempt to interfere with its operation or security, or use the in-app feedback form to send unlawful, abusive or infringing content, or content containing other people's personal data.
The free version is funded by ads shown between exercises. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before requesting an ad, and you can change that choice at any time under About → Ad privacy settings. We do not control the specific ads served, though we restrict them to general-audience content and block sensitive categories.
Plus is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes ads and lifts the limits on custom presets and routines, for the Google account that bought it.
Purchases are processed by Google Play, not by us. Your contract of sale for the purchase is with Google, and Google's payment terms and refund policy apply. Refund requests go through Google Play. If you reinstall the app or change device, use Restore Purchases on the Plus screen.
EU/UK right of withdrawal. Digital content normally carries a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting to use Plus immediately after purchase you ask us to begin supply at once and acknowledge that you lose that right once supply has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights, or any more generous refund window Google Play offers.
Prices are shown by Google Play in your local currency including applicable taxes. We may change the price or the contents of Plus for future purchases; what you already bought stays yours.
The app works offline for practice. Some features need a connection (the virtual instrument's sound samples, ads, purchases, sending feedback). We may update, change or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. It is an educational tool; we do not warrant that it is suitable for any examination, certification or professional purpose.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability arising from the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data — please do not rely on the app as the only record of your progress.
If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory rights under the consumer law of your country of residence, and nothing here overrides them.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend the licence if you materially breach these terms. A one-time purchase already made is not revoked by termination unless it was obtained fraudulently.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and mandatory local consumer law continues to apply.
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
